How to Apply
Apply for the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive by reading the Terms and Conditions and then following these steps below. Incentives are not available for upgrades started before the program launch (September 1, 2015).
1
Get an EnerGuide home evaluation
Find an Energy Advisor to get started with a pre-retrofit EnerGuide home evaluation. You get:
- a prioritized home energy saving upgrade plan
- access to extra incentives from the Home Renovation Rebate program
- an EnerGuide Rating for your home
3
Register for your incentive
Complete the Registration Form. We’ll check that you are eligible and reserve an incentive for you for up to 6 months.
4
Install your heat pump and remove your oil tank and furnace/boiler
Check with your local government if permits are required. Save all your required documentation. (See sample oil tank removal documentation.) You can also install other energy saving upgrades and apply for the Home Renovation Rebate offer.
5
Complete a post-retrofit EnerGuide home evaluation
Don’t forget to print a copy of the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program Application Form so the advisor can complete the advisor section of the form.
6
Submit your Application Form
Remember to attach your receipts (and your local government top-up application, if relevant). Then receive your rebate cheque and enjoy the savings.
