General Terms and Conditions for Top Up Incentives

Capital Regional District Incentives

A limited number (335) of incentives (“CRD Top-Up Incentives”) of $150 per home for EnerGuide home evaluations are available to qualifying Capital Region residents who complete the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program. Learn more about the CRD’s current Climate Action Campaigns.

Eligibility

  • Homes must be located in the Capital Region.
  • Homes must successfully complete the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program.
  • If an individual owns multiple homes, an evaluation incentive can be accessed for each qualifying home.
  • The $150 CRD top-up incentive is available in addition to up to $1700 in Oil to Heat Pump Incentive program incentives.

Process

  1. Register for the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program. If CRD top-up incentives remain at the time of your registration and you live in the Capital Regional District, you will be notified that a CRD top-up incentive has been reserved for you along with your Oil to Heat Pump Incentive. Your incentives will be reserved for you for up to 6 months.
  2. Complete all the other Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program steps.
  3. Submit the CRD, Saanich, Victoria, and Esquimalt Evaluation Incentive Application Form along with your Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Application Form.
  4. Receive your CRD top-up incentive in addition to your Oil to Heat Pump Incentive via the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program.

District of Saanich Incentives

A limited number (90) of incentives (“Saanich top-up incentives”) of $150 per home for EnerGuide home evaluations are available to qualifying Saanich residents who complete the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program. Learn more about Saanich’s Climate Action Plans and home energy retrofit programs.

Eligibility

  • Homes must be located in the District of Saanich.
  • Homes must successfully complete the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program.
  • If an individual owns multiple homes, they can receive an evaluation incentive for each qualifying home.
  • The $150 Saanich top-up incentive is available in addition to up to $1700 in Oil to Heat Pump Incentive program incentives.
  • Saanich residents can access a $150 CRD top-up incentive in addition to the $150 Saanich top-up incentive.

Process

  1. Register for the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program. If Saanich top-up incentives remain at the time of your registration and you live in Saanich, you will be notified that a Saanich top-up incentive has been reserved for you along with your Oil to Heat Pump Incentive. Your incentives will be reserved for you for up to 6 months.
  2. Complete all the other Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program steps.
  3. Submit the CRD, Saanich, Victoria, and Esquimalt Evaluation Incentive Application Form along with your Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Application Form.
  4. Receive your Saanich top-up incentive in addition to your Oil to Heat Pump Incentive via the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program.

City of Victoria Incentives

A limited number (80) of incentives (“Victoria top-up incentives”) of $150 per home for EnerGuide home evaluations are available to qualifying Victoria residents who complete the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program and who register and or apply after January 31, 2017. Eligibility

  • Homes must be located within the jurisdiction of the City of Victoria
  • Homes must successfully complete the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program.
  • If an individual owns multiple homes, an evaluation incentive can be accessed for each qualifying home.
  • The $150 Victoria top-up incentive is available in addition to up to $1700 in Oil to Heat Pump Incentive program incentives.
  • Victoria residents can access a $150 CRD top-up incentive in addition to the $150 Victoria top-up incentive.

Process

  1. Register for the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program. If Victoria top-up incentives remain at the time of your registration and you live in Victoria, you will be notified that a Victoria top-up incentive has been reserved for you along with your Oil to Heat Pump Incentive. Your incentives will be reserved for you for up to 6 months.
  2. Complete all the other Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program steps.
  3. Submit the CRD, Saanich, Victoria, and Esquimalt Evaluation Incentive Application Form along with your Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Application Form.
  4. Receive your Victoria top-up incentive in addition to your Oil to Heat Pump Incentive via the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program.

Township of Esquimalt Incentives

A limited number (20) of incentives (“Esquimalt top-up incentives”) of $150 per home for EnerGuide home evaluations are available to qualifying Esquimalt residents who complete the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program and who register or apply after June 1, 2017.

Eligibility

  • Homes must be located in the Township of Esquimalt.
  • Homes must successfully complete the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program.
  • If an individual owns multiple homes, they can receive an evaluation incentive for each qualifying home.
  • The $150 Esquimalt top-up incentive is available in addition to up to $1700 in Oil to Heat Pump Incentive program incentives.
  • Esquimalt residents can access a $150 CRD top-up incentive in addition to the $150 Esquimalt top-up incentive.

 

Process

  1. Registerfor the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program. If Esquimalt top-up incentives remain at the time of your registration and you live in Esquimalt, you will be notified that an Esquimalt top-up incentive has been reserved for you along with your Oil to Heat Pump Incentive. Your incentives will be reserved for you for up to 6 months.
  2. Complete all the other Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program steps.
  3. Submit the CRD , Saanich, Victoria, and Esquimalt  Evaluation Incentive Application Form along with your Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Application Form.
  4. Receive your Esquimalt top-up incentive in addition to your Oil to Heat Pump Incentive via the Oil to Heat Pump Incentive Program.

General Terms and Conditions for CRD, Saanich, Victoria, and Esquimalt Top Up Incentives

  1. Incentive amounts and Program Terms and Conditions are subject to revision at the Program’s sole discretion. Notwithstanding anything in these Terms and Conditions, payment of incentives is subject to the availability of funds and may change at any time without notice.
  2. Incentives are available on a first-come, first-served basis while funds last, or until the program end date, whichever comes first.
  3. The Program reserves the right, without incurring any liability, to refuse applications to the Program that the Program determines, in its sole discretion, are incomplete, inaccurate, or otherwise do not meet applicable Program requirements.
  4. Processing of applications may take a minimum of 90 days.
  5. Neither City Green Solutions nor the Capital Regional District, the District of Saanich, the City of Victoria, or the Township of Esquimalt are responsible for lost, delayed, damaged, illegible or incomplete applications.
  6. Incentives will be issued in the form of a cheque to the property owner listed on the application form.
  7. Homeowners who received incentives under the LiveSmart BC Efficiency Incentive Program are eligible to participate in the Program.
  8. Participants and installers are responsible for complying with all applicable laws, regulations, and bylaws regarding permits, codes, restrictions, and inspections in relation to any installation or removal/decommissioning for this Program and for ensuring that appropriate products and installation techniques are used that do not compromise their home’s structure, indoor air quality and safety.
  9. Participants are solely responsible for researching Program criteria, choosing eligible products, choosing licensed contractors, and meeting all Program requirements.
  10. The Program does not endorse any specific product, retailer or contractor and the Program is not liable for the Participant’s selection of materials or products, or the workmanship, operation, performance or warranty associated with any Upgrades or associated work performed in relation to the Program. The Program makes no representation or warranty, whether express or implied, in respect of any product, materials, services, or measures associated with any work done in relation to the Program.
  11. The Program does not guarantee and accepts no liability for the level of energy savings or greenhouse gas reductions achieved by a Participant under this Program.
  12. Program participants hereby agree to indemnify and save harmless the Program, City Green Solutions, the Capital Regional District, the District of Saanich, the City of Victoria and their respective directors, officers, agents and employees, from all liability, damages, claims, demands, expenses, and costs for claims, costs for injury or death of any person, damage to or destruction of property, and all economic loss suffered by any person arising from or occurring by reason of the Program, receipt of a incentive(s) or actual or alleged preparation or installation or use of the Upgrade(s), including any actions or omissions by third party consultants or contractors in the preparation or installation of the Upgrade(s).
  13. The Terms and Conditions outlined in this document will be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the Province of British Columbia.
